WHO DO AMERICANS SPEND TIME WITH AS THEY AGE?

This project uses a data source posted on MakeoverMonday. The objective was to improve the visualization appearance by conveying the same initial message but in a cleaner and more concise manner. The project was done entirely with Tableau.

Data from week 45 of 2022 were used for this project, which illustrate a graph from the article "Who do we spend time with across our lifetime?". In the article, a unique visualization was made to represent each category by age.

My goal was to create different visualizations for each category that could be filtered down by the age of a respondent. This allowed me to then add all visualizations in a dashboard and have a single filter for the age apply to all categories simultanously. This way, the user can manually type a number between 15 and 85 (the age range available), and visualize the average time an individual of that age spends with different categories of individuals.
